The first and second place was won by Canadian photographer Mark Duffy, who focused on big storms and icebergs in the past years.
In the third place there was a photograph of the floods and Orthodox Church in Doboj in 2014, a work by photographer Inge Cvijanovic.
“I left my car and took the camera, but I could not get to my house. At that moment I made this photo. I was able to talk to my family over the phone. I arrived home by boat the next day, “ Cvijanovic explained.
She added that 62 people died in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) during the floods, and thousands of people had to leave their homes.
“Doboj was completely under the water. In some places, the water was deep up to seven meters. BiH and Serbia have suffered enormous damage, as these have been the highest rainfalls in the last 120 years, “ Cvijanovic said.
