The play, produced by the Association ‘Fercera’ was directed by Senad Alihodžić and written by Adnan Lugonić and co-authored by Asja Krsmanović. Irma Alimanović-Alihodžić came up with the idea.
It was inspired by the everyday events faced by passengers on the tram, and through various scenes illustrated our everyday lives. The cast consists of Jasna Diklić, Izudin Bajrović, Aleksandar Seksan, Irma Alimanović Alihodžić, Mirna Kreso, Muhamed Hadžović, Damir Kustura, Sanjin Arnautović and Senad Alihodžić.
At the MESS festival during a discussion with the authors, it was said that the play does not deal directly with the war, but clearly illustrates characters to which the war has left a trace.
The authors believe that the play could serve as the basis for plays in other countries.
‘’We tried to create characters that are not so local and we noticed that the audience that was not from our region confirmed this. The tram in Sarajevo has become a kind of public confessional and there is a constant blend of intimate and public space’’, explained Krsmanović.
The theatre tram will begin today and tomorrow at 19:00 from the Željeznička station. Tickets can be reserved by calling +387 61 439 855. All proceeds from tickets go to charity.
The US Embassy, Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Culture and Sport, FB&H Ministry of Culture and Sport, Hypo Alpe Adria Bank, Foundation for Music, Performing and Visual Arts in Sarajevo, Kamerni Theatre 55 and TVSA, support the production.
