The Polish government has placed Milorad Dodik on a “blacklist”, it was confirmed to Politicki.ba. The president of the Republika Srpska entity is banned from entering the country, as well as from staying there, and from transiting through it.
The decision was made due to the politician’s anti-Dayton and secessionist activities.
The Polish government has not sanctioned other officials of this entity.
The travel ban for Dodik also means that he may not be able to fly to Russia via this country next time.
Poland is the fourth European country to sanction the leader of the RS. The United Kingdom, Austria and Germany have previously done so. Before them, the United States of America imposed sanctions on Dodik on two occasions.
