POSKOK conducts Searches in Sarajevo due to Suspicion of Corruption

By order of the Special Department for Suppression of Corruption, Organized and Intercantonal Crime of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton conducted a search operation at four locations in the Sarajevo Canton this morning, the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption (POSKOK) confirmed.

As announced, the searches were conducted due to suspicion of the commission of several corruptive criminal acts, and on that occasion mobile phones were temporarily seized from four people. “By order of the Special Department for Suppression of Corruption, Organized and Intercantonal Crime of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and under the supervision of a team of prosecutors from the Special Department of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of the FBiH, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton conducted a search operation at four locations in the Sarajevo Canton this morning, due to suspicion of the commission of several corruptive acts. On that occasion, mobile phones were temporarily seized from four people,” the POSKOK statement said.

The statement added that the processing and compilation of supporting documentation on the activities carried out is underway, after which the material will be submitted to the court that issued the order.

We remind you that this morning’s operation also included the premises of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Police Administration (FUP), and is being carried out as part of an investigation related to controversial correspondence between senior officials of these institutions.
