Preliminary Report on the Earthquake near Zenica

Today, instruments at the Center for Seismology Federal Hydrometeorological Institute in Sarajevo register at 16:28 o’clock an earthquake of moderate intensity. The epicenter of the earthquake was 53 kilometers northwest of Sarajevo, in Zenica.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.5 Richter, and the intensity at the epicenter was at V degrees of Mercaliev scale.

An earthquake of this intensity can cause material damage to buildings and individuals can feel it in the epicentral area, was announced from the Center for Seismology in Sarajevo.
