Preparations for the World Cup begin: ‘Dragons’ gather in BiH’s Capital

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team is gathering in Ilidža today to begin preparations for the World Cup, reports the portal reprezentacija.ba.

Head coach Sergej Barbarez expects most of the players today, except for those who have games this weekend.

The exact training schedule is not known at the moment, but what is known is that this Friday, May 29, and next Saturday, June 6, we will play friendly matches against North Macedonia and Panama in Sarajevo and St. Louis.

The Dragons will be in St. Louis from June 2 to 7, after which they will travel to Toronto, where they will stay for five days and play their first game of the World Cup there on June 12 against Canada.

Only then will the Dragons go to Salt Lake City, where they will have their camp, and from there they will travel first to Los Angeles, and then to Seattle for games against Switzerland and Qatar on June 18 and 24.

Coach Sergej Barbarez is expecting the following players at the gathering:

Goalkeepers: Nikola Vasilj, Martin Zlomislić, Osman Hadžikić

Defense: Sead Kolašinac, Amar Dedić, Nihad Mujakić, Nikola Katic, Tarik Muharemović, Stjepan Radeljić, Dennis Hadžikadunić, Nidal Čelik, Arjan Malić (subsequent call-up)

Midfield: Amir Hadžiahmetović, Ivan Šunjić, Ivan Bašić, Dženis Burnić, Ermin Mahmić, Benjamin Tahirović, Amar Memic, Armin Gigović, Kerim Alajbegović, Esmir Bajraktarević

Forward: Ermedin Demirović, Jovo Lukić, Samed Baždar, Edin Džeko, Haris Tabaković
