After meeting with Lady Elias, Covic visited the War National Memorial Park Pukeahu, laying a wreath and honoring all the fallen members of the New Zealand Army.
After visiting the War Memorial Park, he met in the Parliament building the newly elected prime minister Jacint Ardern. He also stressed BiH’s gratitude for all the help and support that New Zealand has given us and expressed hope that it will continue to build traditionally good relations. The two also discussed the strengthening of economic cooperation, as well as the opportunities for New Zealand investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the field of tourism.
At the end of the meeting, Covic invited prime minister Ardern to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Yesterday, Covic met with representatives of the Croatian Cultural Society in Auckland and was informed about their activities. At the meeting, he praised the work of the Society, especially emphasizing the role it plays in preserving its identity, language and culture.
