The session was attended by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljko Komsic, and the member of the Presidency of BiH, Sefik Dzaferovic, and called on the High Representative to use his authority to use Bosnia and Herzegovina’s military or civilian aircraft for their urgent engagement in all situations that require it.
The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina took note of the information of the Ministry of Security of BiH on the activities of Canadians from the Republic of Croatia in extinguishing the fire in Široki Brijeg, based on the bilateral agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina asks the Ministry of Security of BiH to examine in future situations the possibility of engaging the same or similar aircraft in extinguishing fires and assisting civilian authorities on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Also, the Ministry is asked to continue with this type of practice, referring to bilateral agreements and agreements with neighboring countries, and other available international mechanisms, and to react urgently, in case of any notification, in extinguishing fires on the territory of BiH.
