President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lidija Bradara, did not make a decision today on the appointment of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because the President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, requested additional consultations.
Bradara confirmed this for FENA, stating that she received yesterday all the names of the proposed ministers who should form the new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The decision on the appointment of the FBiH Government was ready for adoption. However, Nikšić asked for a little more time for additional consultations due to some of his doubts, that is, the personnel solutions of the group he leads,” Bradara pointed out.
She hopes she will make this decision tomorrow.
“It is better to make preparations on time and agree on everything in detail than to have problems later when the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH discusses appointing of the Government,” said Bradara in a statement for FENA.
After the president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina makes a decision on the appointment of the Government, the two vice presidents should give their consent, and then it should be sent to the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament for approval.
Based on the agreement on the formation of government between HDZ BiH and other parties of the new parliamentary majority, the candidate for prime minister of the Federation of BiH is Nermin Nikšić.
The deadline for the formation of the new Government of the Federation of BiH is April 6, and the coalition partners hope that the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament at which the Government would be appointed could be held by April 6, Fena reports.
