Prevent Interior, a member of the Prevent Group, will start making furniture for the global chain of coffee shops Starbucks by the end of this year.
After the contract on cooperation was signed recently between these two companies, the audit process was also terminated, verifying Prevent Interior as the supplier and defining the plan of deliveries.
“By taking over two leading brands in furniture production in Germany, the Prevent Group demonstrated the commitment to the development of this industry and, thanks to the recognition of the brand, we soon got in touch with several major buyers. One of them is Starbucks. They recognized the quality reliability of traditional brands in combination with business vision, and chose Prevent Group as their strategic partner for Europe,” said Ismir Korijenić, Head of the Furniture Division of Prevent BiH.
Korijenić added that preparations for the beginning of production are in progress. The plan is to produce 300 pieces of furniture per month for Starbucks coffee shops throughout Europe.
The furniture will have the recognizable and unique design that this chain features in their shops. Amounts of furniture will increase as the plan develops.
Wood processing industry is one of rare industries in BiH that generate trade surplus and increase export every year. Comparative advantages of BiH as a market for furniture production can only be reinforced and directed at further creation of added value in final products.
In the past period, Prevent Group invested significant funds in the development of furniture industry in BiH. Furniture and other interior items for luxurious yachts are currently being produced in Visoko, and production of plate and massive furniture will soon be launched in Ključ, where the Group invested in a new facility recently.
