The Project on which BiH is Proud of: all on the Realized Projects regarding Highways

corridorThe total length of the route of the future European trans Corridor Vc which passes through Bosnia and Herzegovina is 336 km, of which 285 km is in the FBiH in 51 km in the Republic of Srpska. Euro-Asfalt has implemented six projects in BiH in 2014, of which five relate to the construction of the highway on Corridor Vc.

Realized project

Subsections Suhodol-Tarčin, Vlakovo- Lepenica and Lepenica-Suhodol, whose total length is 19, 8 km, are located on the section Vlakovo-Tarčin, on which Euro-Asphalt was engaged. The project included the construction of the highway, the Vlakovo and Lepenica loops, objects on the road and underpasses, overpasses, hydro technical facilities and the tolls Vlakovo and Lepenica. With full engagement of management, workers, engineers, support personnel and the use of latest machinery of Euro-Asfalt these three sub-sections were completed within the deadline.

In 2014, Euro-Asfalt has implemented the project of building the section Drivuša-Gorica – Bilješevo on section Drivuša Gorica, which is a 3.5 km route. Construction of the highways meant construction of bridges, namely: M whose length is 60 m, M1 of 120 m, M2 of 340 m and M3 of 550 m, and the center for traffic control and a toll station.

The largest building structure and the first phase of works (tunnelling and building the primary support) on the largest tunnel which in the recent history was built not only in BiH but also in South-East Europe, was completed by the Euro-Asfalt workers on Independence Day, 1 March 2013. The deadline for the construction of the first phase was 33 months.

The second phase, building the secondary lining, was completed in record time. They used modern sliding metal plating and paved daily three 12 meter plates. The monthly result could be considered a record as it reached about 1000 meters. The entire second phase was completed in six months. Tunnel March 1 consists of two tunnel tubes in length of 2,949 and 2,914 m, and is equipped with the most modern and most sophisticated technical equipment and video surveillance, internet connection, a fire alarm system and tunnel traffic signs.

The project LOT 3A, known as the Sarajevo bypass, is located in the northwest of Sarajevo in the valley of the river Bosna. It is designed as a highway with two separate lanes, each consisting of two lanes, one stopping lane made for emergency stops on each lane.

The subsection of the Sarajevo bypass, Butile-Vlakovo, which is 3.3 km long, also built by Euro-Asfalt, was successfully completed on time. On this rout have been built the Bojnik viaduct, which is located, its entire length, on the line and two underpasses – Osijek and Treševine.

Euro-Asfalt has also been engaged on the project of reconstruction and construction of the Sarajevo Stup loop. Before enganing this renowned company, the Stup loop was known as the main cause of major traffic jams and on which drivers lost a lot of valuable time.

In order to realize the project a new bridge had to be built, and also two ramps for the exit. The city longitudinal has been expanded, new sidewalks have been built, also bike lanes, an underground pedestrian corridor for safe transition, it leads to the tram stops, the old bridge has been rebuilt.
