Transporters from Zvornik protested the closure of the bridge at the border crossing Karakaj for the crossing of freight vehicles weighing more than five tons.
The protest was also attended by businessmen, freight forwarders and others who were “affected” by the closure of the bridge for the specified category of vehicles.
The organizers of the protest stated that the bridge was closed to trucks on April 8 due to the repair of damage to it, and that they already have a lot of problems because of it.
“We can’t even cross the nearest crossing in Šepka, apparently the bridge there also has some damage, so it’s not allowed for trucks headed to the bridge to Bratunac to cross. However, there are no conditions there, there is no terminal, and the customs office only works from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. hours”, they stated earlier.
