Quint Countries discussed the “concerning Situation in BiH”: The Country is in a serious Crisis

French and United Kingdom (UK) Ministers for Europe, Benjamin Haddad and Stephen Doughty, organized a video meeting in London dedicated to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), attended by other ministers from Quint countries.

The meeting, where partners from the United States (U.S.), Germany, Italy, France, and the UK, along with representatives of European Union (EU) institutions, discussed BiH, was held two days ago, as confirmed by multiple official sources.

As briefly stated by French diplomacy, the country “condemns attacks on the constitutional order and remains committed to the unity of the country and its future in the EU.”

“BiH is in the midst of a serious political and constitutional crisis following the verdict against Milorad Dodik, president of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, on February 26th. France reiterates its condemnation of the adoption of laws and decisions in RS that undermine the constitutional order of BiH and encroach on public freedoms,” they said.

They emphasized that this meeting was “an opportunity to reaffirm France’s strong commitment, as a witness to the Dayton-Paris Peace Agreements, to the unity, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of BiH, as well as to its European path.”

French Minister for Europe Benjamin Haddad also reported on the meeting on X.

“Yesterday, together with Stephen Doughty (UK Minister for Europe), I gathered our partners from Germany, Italy, the U.S., and EU institutions to discuss the concerning situation in BiH,” he wrote on Sunday, Klix.ba writes.
