The audience welcomed each new song with special warmth, starting with the one with which they opened the concert “Kad ja pođoh na Bentbašu”
Sarajevo experienced a special magic on August 20, when Raffid Subašić and the band Trio Ved filled the Žuta Tabija with an emotional atmosphere. Their performance, as part of the Sarajevo Sevdah Soiree festival, combined traditional Bosnian sevdalines with Vranje sevdah.
Thus, through a unique combination, Raffid Subasic showed how tradition can be upgraded with innovative arrangements. The audience greeted each new song with special warmth, starting with the one with which they opened the concert “Kad ja pođoh na Bentbaša”, then “Kradem ti se u večeri”, “Kiša bi pala”, “Emina”, “Moj dilbere” and many others.
This concert as part of the third Sarajevo Sevdah Soiree festival was more than just a musical event; it was an emotional encounter between sevdah and the audience under the clear Sarajevo sky, accompanied by authentic acoustic instruments such as kalal, bendir, tombak and others.
Thus, Raffid Subasic, who began his career as a backing musician, on this occasion showed how his art has developed into an emotional and innovative spectrum that combines roots and contemporary expression.
This year, the Sarajevo Sevdah Soiree festival offers the audience from August 16 to 23, in the unforgettable ambiance of the Yellow Bastion, a concert program that includes several genres, including ethno and fado.
So far, Hari Varešanović and Naida Kraljić have performed, let’s add last night’s concert by Raffid Subašić, and the Sarajevo audience will also have concerts by Maja Milinković and Tonči Huljić with the band Madre Badessa.
