Ambassador of France to BiH Roland Gilles said in his address that people cannot be satisfied with stagnation and lack of prospects for the future.
‘’Then it is natural to speak directly, when it is considered that the trust that is given to leaders does not meet expectations’’, said Gilles.
The Ambassador added that the people of BiH spoke out in the last few weeks and felt for the first time their responsibility, the proper democratic game, which is not in conflict with the regular election process.
He said that France would continue to advocate for strengthening the efficiency of BiH-which is not contrary to positive decentralization-respect of democratic norms and the rule of law in legislation, the need to speak out with one voice through the adoption of coordination mechanisms that can wait too long, a comprehensive study of education in order to decisively turn back ethnic segregation.
This national day is celebrated to commemorate the 14th July 1789, the day when the onslaught of revolutionary forces conquered the infamous Bastille fortress, a dungeon in the Paris suburb of St. Antoine, which precipitated the French Revolution.
Every 14 July France celebrates its national holiday that has deep roots in the republican tradition of the country. It is celebrated with folk dances, lanterns and fireworks, as well as the anthem of Marseilles.
