In 2019, a total of 1,143,680 passengers passed through Sarajevo International Airport, which is nine percent more than in 2018. The company said that the number of realized air operations in 2019 was 13,671, and the physical volume of cargo was 2,523,565 kilograms.

The millionth passenger this year was recorded at the end of October, even a month and a half earlier than in 2018, when the millionth passenger was first registered at Sarajevo International Airport.

Also, last year, Sarajevo Airport employees served more than 100,000 passengers for the first time for four months in a row. Two more records were recorded in the year behind us, so in June 119,205 passengers passed through the airport, which is as much as 28 percent more than in the same month in 2018, while in July, a record 180,929 passengers passed through the Sarajevo International Airport, 14 percent more than in 2018, and the highest number of passengers ever served in one month.

All these indicators indicate that traffic growth recorded by Sarajevo International Airport over the past few years will continue into 2020, the company stated in the report.
