The remains of at least five victims of the past war were exhumed today at the Joseva site, Bratunac municipality.
According to the information available to the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is presumed that these are victims of Bosniak nationality who were killed in their homes in May 1992, and then buried at this location.
According to the pathologist who attended the exhumation, all the victims were female and most likely three adult women and two girls. The bodies were found in two common and one individual mass grave.
The exhumation was carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
