The remains of at least one victim of the past war were found today during the exhumation, which is still in progress, at the site of Mrazište – Veliko Polje Igman.

According to the information available to the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is most likely a victim of Serbian nationality who disappeared in that area in 1993.

“The identity of the victim will be determined with certainty through DNA analysis, and after the removal of bone samples. After the exhumation is completed today, the remains will be transferred to the ‘Sveti Marko’ ossuary in Miljevići, where they will undergo forensic-technical and forensic-medical processing. The exhumation is carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is managed by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
