More than 150 prosecutors and representatives of professional associations from nine countries in the region and the world participated.
The main topics of the conference were related to processes of judicial reform in Western Balkan countries, transparent and objective evaluation of prosecutors, as well as the importance and roles of professional associations in the judicial reform process.
State Prosecutor of B&H Ibro Bulić, Head of Section II in the Special Department for War Crimes, held a presentation related to the process of transparent and objective evaluation of prosecutors.
In his presentation, he spoke of the system for evaluating the work of prosecutors in B&H, and methodologies and measures that are important in the process of evaluation of prosecutors.
Participants at the conference were representatives of international associations of prosecutors, as well as representatives of the prosecution associations from countries in the region.
At the conference they spoke about reform processes of judicial systems, which were implemented or are still being implemented in countries in the region, and the situation in countries where a system of prosecutorial investigations have just been established as part of criminal proceedings.
This international conference was attended by representatives of the prosecution, judicial institutions and judicial professional associations in Serbia, B&H, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ireland, the US and the OSCE Mission in Serbia.
Representatives of the B&H Prosecutor’s Office actively participate in expert conferences related to the strengthening of cooperation between prosecutorial and judicial institutions in the region, in the light of the upcoming process of the European integration of B&H.
The conference in Belgrade was realized with the organization of the Association of Prosecutors of Serbia with the support of the OSCE Mission, announced the B&H Prosecutor’s Office.
