“Researchers’ Night” was launched for the first time on the European level in 2005 within the program FP6 “Researchers in Europe 2005″. The initiative consists of a one-day event that takes place simultaneously in 32 countries in Europe and in more than 200 cities.
The project offers to the public educational- entertainment activities that allow visitors to complete their knowledge about research and to explore while having a good time on the last Friday of September.
The main goal is for the public to get closer with the work of researchers, as well as to provide a better understanding of their contribution to society. Also, “Researchers’ Night” should enable young people to consider a scientific career as an option for their future career and to contribute to the global improvement of research in Europe.
