Residents of Sarajevo will decide on the Appearance of Hastahana Park

The first phase of the international public call for the submission of the conceptual design of the public space “Hastahana” was completed on April 6, 2022, the Sarajevo municipality of Centar announced in the press release today.

Over 80 applications from both domestic and foreign architects were received for the international public call issued by the Municipality of Centar in partnership with UNDP.

The competition was preceded by public consultations on the future contents and functions of this space, through which almost 400 answers and ideas of citizens were received, which are now included in the guidelines of the public call.

An international five-member jury composed of relevant renowned professionals will consider the submitted proposals for conceptual solutions and award the three best in accordance with the terms of this public call.
“The projects of the three finalists will be put to a public vote on April 18 via the online platform urbanlab.ba. the center of the capital, “the municipality said.

The international jury for the selection of finalists includes Roth Cerina from Croatia, Roland Krebs from Austria, Adnan Harambasic from Norway, Marina Dimova from BiH and Selma Islambegovic from BiH, an employee of the Municipality of Centar.
