Ropes with which Victims tried to commit Suicide found in Srebrenica

Emir Suljagic, director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, posted photos on Twitter showing the ropes used by some of Srebrenica’s refugees in July 1995 at the UN base in Potocari in desperation to commit suicide.

“In July 1995, some of the Srebrenica refugees at the UN base in Potocari tried to commit suicide out of desperation. Fortunately, they were caught on time and this was prevented. This morning we found this location thanks to a Dutchbat soldier (Dutch battalion). The ropes are still there, “Suljagic wrote.
