Royal expert Charles Rae recalled the accident in which Princess Diana died and revealed previously unknown details from the fateful night.

Rea is also the author of the book “Diana: The People’s Princess – A Personal Tribute in Words and Pictures”, and he stayed with the princess and Dodi al Fayed on a yacht in St. Tropez before their deaths.

“At the time, I didn’t even realize that this was a night that I will never forget for the rest of my life, and the terrible events are on my mind even now,” he said, adding that he was informed about the accident by calling and it was characterized it as a minor blow.

He received information at different times, first he learned that Fayed and the bodyguard Henri Paul were killed, and at 3 a.m.he received information that the princess died in a Paris hospital.

“That was the first of dozens and dozens of phone calls that night that resulted in sleeplessness. Each phone call told me at every stage how bad it had gotten,” he stated.
