RS President: “We will not accept the Decision of the Court of BiH”

Representatives of the institutions of Republika Srpska, leaders of the parties of the ruling coalition, as well as representatives of Serbs in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that they will not accept the decisions of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after the indictment against the President of the RS Milorad Dodik and acting director of the Official Gazette of the RS Miloš Lukić was confirmed.

After the meeting in Banja Luka, to which the leaders of the opposition parties in the RS did not respond, Dodik said that “the objectivity of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot be counted on”.

The participants of the meeting stated “that the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina are not a constitutional category”.

“Their actions have nothing to do with law, and this is best shown by the fact that they act in accordance with the law imposed by a foreigner,” said Dodik.

He repeated that the Republika Srpska does not recognize Christian Schmidt as a high representative, and said that if the Law on Property is imposed, a session of the National Assembly will be held and the independence of the Republika Srpska will be declared.

After the meeting, Dodik said that complete unity had been achieved, and that Republika Srpska is capable and ready to defend its Constitution, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Speaking about the work at the level of BiH, Dodik said that the issues of the Constitutional Court of BiH must be resolved as a matter of priority, i.e. passing laws, resolving the status of foreigners, and that it is acceptable that the Appellate Department of the Court of BiH can be located in Banja Luka.

“We note that the Constitutional Court, referring to the issue of property, was politically instrumentalized and they refuse to discuss property and will not even discuss it. They refuse to accept the imposed law, if it is imposed and a session of the NSRS will be held and after that the independent status of the RS will be declared with measures which we indicated and which we will adhere to,” said Dodik.

He said that Republika Srpska is ready to discuss the Electoral Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“It is necessary to pass a new electoral law that can only determine the direction of the CEC in terms of electing members of the BiH Presidency and members of the BiH Parliament. According to the Constitution of BiH, the Republika Srpska has the right to hold elections for all other levels, namely the President of the Republika Srpska, the National Assembly, local elections, delegates to the House of Peoples and the Council of Peoples,” said Dodik.

Let us remind you that on Monday, September 11, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Acting Director of the Official Gazette of the RS Miloš Lukić, for disobeying the decisions of the High Representative.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed the indictment on August 11 and sent it to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation, and the Court sent it back on August 18 for revision. In the meantime, the Court rejected Dodik’s request to disqualify Judge Jasmina Ćosić Dedović.
