One of the current location where Zenica residents use to cool down every day are the Zenica swimming pools. Zenica residents are not swimming in river Bosna for many years because of the pollution, but one of their alternatives is certainly Mošćanica Lake near Zenica.
Mošćanica Lake is located 15 kilometers away from Zenica, and the specific thing about this public bathing area is that it is located on the site of a former coal mine, on its open pit. The mine was abandoned long time ago, and the lake was formed by accumulation of water in the mining window.
Although the lake is placed on a quite unusual location, many residents of Zenica are deciding to visit it. Some of them think that swimming in this lake is risky since the water is not tested, but that did not stop many swimmers to cool down in this very beautiful and attractive place.
