Sarajevo Airport is continuing efforts to establish a direct air connection with Tirana, with Acting CEO Dino Selimović discussing the initiative with Albania’s newly appointed Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spiro Koci.
During the meeting, Selimović highlighted ongoing efforts to introduce a direct Sarajevo–Tirana service, an initiative the airport has been pursuing for some time in cooperation with Tirana International Airport.
According to Selimović, analyses conducted so far, along with contacts with airlines and assessments of the route’s market potential, have provided a strong basis for moving the project forward.
He stressed that a direct air link between the capitals of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania could significantly contribute to the development of tourism, business and investment ties, as well as broader regional cooperation, while bringing the citizens of the two countries closer together.
