The first official condemnation of violence against civilians in the Gaza Strip and Israel came from the City Council of Sarajevo, at the suggestion of councilor Toni Vukadin. In the Declaration, among other things, they ask for the United Nations to activate a mechanism that will investigate and determine the war crimes committed in the Gaza Strip and Israel.
“We demand that those responsible be identified and tried,” the City of Sarajevo, they added, is ready to provide humanitarian aid to the vulnerable civilian population in the war-torn area.
