Sarajevo International Guitar Festival celebrates its 15th edition this year, which will be held from April 16 to 20. The festival will offer a diverse program that connects musical mastery, education, and the international competition scene.
The main program features concerts by renowned world-class guitarists, an international competition in seven age categories, and master class workshops for young talents.
The prominent artists taking the festival stage are Alberto Mesirca (Italy), Daniel Rowland (Netherlands/UK), Mak Grgić (Slovenia), Ljudmil Rus Guitar Orchestra (Slovenia), Erdem Sokmen (Turkey), Nagme Yarkin (Turkey), and Mark Zemlianskyi (Ukraine). They will deliver an outstanding musical experience for the audience.
This year’s festival will be held at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Cvjetko Rihtman Concert Hall, while the educational and competition segments will be held at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo.
The entry to all concerts is free, and the festival continues its mission to make art accessible to a wider audience.
According to the concert program, the duo Alberto Mesirca (Italy), guitar, and Daniel Rowland (Netherlands/UK), violin, will perform at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina at 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 16.
Mak Grgić (Slovenia), guitar, will take the stage at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina at 6:30 p.m., on Friday, April 17.
The Ljudmil Rus Guitar Orchestra will perform at the “Cvjetko Rihtman” Concert Hall at 6:30 p.m., on April 18.
Guitar & Kamence of Istanbul-Erdem Sokmen (Turkey), guitar, and Nagme Yarkin (Turkey), kemenche–will perform at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina at 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 18.
The guitarists performing at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina are Mark Zemlianskyi (Ukraine), guitar, at 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 19, and Pedro Mateo Gonzales (Spain), guitar, at 8:00 p.m., on Monday, April 20, according to the Sarajevo International Guitar Festival.
