The Sarajevo Public Enterprise will celebrate the 130th anniversary of the City Hall, a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the most recognizable symbols of Sarajevo, its history, culture and identity, with a series of events from April 20 to June 5.
The celebration will begin on April 20 with the opening of the exhibition “Sarajevo Houses” by maestro Safet Zec, while an exhibition of children’s works from Sarajevo kindergartens entitled “City Hall Then and Now” is planned for April 27.
The exhibition brings the youngest people’s perspective on the past, present and future of the City Hall, highlighting the wealth of their creativity and imagination.
On Europe Day and the day of the City Hall’s renovation, on May 9, as part of the celebration of the 130th anniversary of its opening, an evening of chamber music “Silence and Tones” will be held.
The celebration program will end on June 5 with a gala concert by the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, with a specially designed classical music program.
On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the City Hall, a limited series of tickets that are also postcards will be presented, announced the Sarajevo Public Company.
