#SarajevoFTW is a two day community event organized by USAID, Netocratic, Teres Capital, Hub387 and Startupbootcamp to give a boost to the local startup scene. The conference will feature lectures, workshops, and discussion panels aimed at providing access to best practices for early-stage entrepreneurs, assisting local private and angel investors to professionalize and grow their investment networks and building capacity of entrepreneurship community organizers and innovation centers to improve their services, outreach, and effectiveness.
The first day of the conference (May 17) is designed for entrepreneurs and comprises a series of lectures, panels and a fireside chat on pitching, hustling and developing local companies for global market. The second day of the #SarajevoFTW (May 18) is intended for investors and facilitators in the local startup community and will cover topics from investments in the region to creating a good environment for early-stage businesses.
The speaker lineup includes the likes of Mike Butcher, editor-at-large of TechCrunch,Tobias Stone, enterprise and innovation fellow from University of Huddersfield, Max Gurvits, partner at Teress Capital, Alex Farcet managing director of Startupbootcamp, as well as some representatives of the regional startup scene – Edin Saracevic from HUB387, Srđan Kovacevic from PBZ Invest and Netocratic’s founder and editor-in-chief Ivan Brezak Brkan.
