BiH Minister of Defense Zukan Helez said that the collegium of the BiH Council of Ministers removed from the agenda the item on the appointment of a new director of SIPA, which was to be voted on at the session today.
“We did this considering the information that Slobodan Radinković is on the Sky application. We also received unofficial information that he is part of the criminal milieu. He is also ranked third and these are all the reasons why we did not want to support him,” said Helez.
BiH Minister of Security Nenad Nešić, who proposed Radinković for SIPA director, said that someone is trying to “decapitate” SIPA.
“What Helez said is not true. There is no information that he was a member of any criminal milieu. It is a coordinated proposal of the Serbian people,” he said.
When asked why he proposed the third-ranked person, and not the first-ranked one, Nešić said that it was his discretion and that he had previously reviewed the biographies of all the candidates, where he saw that Radinković had been in the service his entire working life.
“If no agreement is reached, this leads to a blockade of the Council of Ministers of BiH. Until the issue of SIPA’s director is resolved, we will not appoint anyone at the BiH level,” concluded Nešić after the session of the BiH Council of Ministers, Fena writes.
