Twenty-six soldiers of BiH AF completed extremely demanding testing, who will participate in state process of selection of the future rangers, of which three will get status of primary, and six of alternative candidates.
At the beginning of April three candidates will go to the USA for preparatory Ranger Course.
”All candidates must meet minimum standards for the U.S. Army Ranger School,” stated Captain David Knox, representative of the Defense Cooperation Office of the U.S. Embassy in BiH and Ranger School graduate, assessing it is admirable the effort BiH soldiers invested during the demanding testing.
”They will not only represent the best soldiers of BiH, but they will be among the elite infantrymen in the world,” said Captain Knox.
Major Mesud Dervišić welcomed successful completion of the process on behalf of the Joint Staff of BiH AF, underlining it is a historic day for defense structures of BiH.
During the past three days candidates marched and walked nearly 50 kilometers under full military equipment.
At the same time, candidates took tests at the Barracks in Pazarić on day and night navigation.
