The delegation of Serbia to the United Nations sent a letter to the UN Secretary General and the President of the UN General Assembly, in which they responded to the presentation of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, before this body.
As Tanjug learns, Serbia has accused Bećirović of making “a series of unfounded and malicious accusations against Serbia and the Serbian people” and of “using the worn-out narrative of ‘Greater Serbia’ to revive conflicts in the region from the 1990s.”
They also pointed out that “Serbia is not a threat to peace, but is oriented towards the future, which causes discomfort among those who would return the region to the dark past.”
The letter also states that “Bosniak politicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina accuse Serbia of threats, even though they themselves systematically destroyed the Dayton Agreement”, and as an example of the destruction of this agreement, they cited “the usurpation of about a hundred jurisdictions from the Republika Srpska entity in recent years.”
Of course, it should be said that there was no “kidnapping”, but the competences at the state level were carried out in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution of BiH, that is, through parliamentary procedures or decisions of the high representative in BiH.
Let’s recall that Bećirović warned in the UN General Assembly, among other things, of threats to regional stability, especially referring to the destructive declaration adopted by Serbia in June of this year, calling it a dangerous document that threatens the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Here, from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly, I want to publicly warn the world public that the leadership of the Republic of Serbia is once again threatening the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Serbia’s great-state pretensions towards the territories of other countries are the essential reason why Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans are exposed to new One of the proofs of this is the destructive Declaration of the All-Serbian Parliament, which was adopted in Belgrade on June 8 this year,” said Bećirović.
“This declaration represents a threat to regional peace and independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he emphasized, Klix.ba writes.
