Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that the Russians will go to the UN with a resolution on the genocide of the Soviet people, and that Serbia will be its co-sponsor, and stated that “the proposed resolution on Srebrenica opened Pandora’s box.”
“The Russians will go with the resolution on the genocide of the Soviet people, I also hear that the Belarusians have their own ideas, but we will see if they will go with one or more resolutions… We will be co-sponsors for all of them,” Vučić told RTS.
He added that “the truth must be known about who committed the genocides and when they committed them”.
“We didn’t want to go back in time, but they took us back 29 years, so now we’re going to go back 70-80 years in the past,” said Vučić.
He stated that the proponents of the resolution (on the genocide in Srebrenica) “understand the consequences it can cause”.
“Everyone understands everything, including those from America, the EU, Canada. All those who vote against us by ballot. They know what they are doing, but they don’t know exactly what to do with it. But they know “we are very strong, we are very powerful – we can do it.” “Okay, you can. Everything can be done. But nobody was on fire until dawn,” said Vučić.
The President of Serbia did not rule out the possibility that Greece will support the resolution.
“The plan of many countries that will vote against Serbia is to please those who are the most powerful, and not because they have real convictions. And none of them can answer the questions of what this resolution is and whether it will contribute to improving the situation or worsening it.” Vucic said, Srna writes.
