The Declaration of the European People’s Party (EPP) “EU – Western Balkans 2021” was adopted yesterday in Ljubljana, and point number 9, which talks about BiH, which was supported by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is especially interesting.
“We call on the EU and its members to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in implementing 14 priorities, including electoral reform, in line with EU principles and international court rulings, with a view to making progress towards candidate status. We call on all domestic authorities and political representatives to work closely with the European Union, the international community and the Office of the High Representative. “
This statement was also supported by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
Therefore, in the last part of this sentence, in the consensus adopted by the Declaration, all domestic politicians are invited to cooperate, among other things, closely with High Representative Christian Schmidt, who is currently not recognized and boycotted by political representatives from Republika Srpska.
The boycott is led by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, and has been joined by all other political parties in the entity, reaching conclusions in the RS National Assembly.
As Klix.ba has learned unofficially, today in Ljubljana, European officials also spoke on the sidelines of the summit about the destructiveness of Milorad Dodik’s policy and the blockades he produced in the functioning of state institutions.
