Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic presented the Order of the Republic of Serbia, the country’s highest recognition, to the Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik in Belgrade today.
According to Serbian media, Milorad Dodik was awarded the Order of the Republic of Serbia on a large necklace for exceptional merits in developing and strengthening peaceful cooperation and friendly relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially the Republika Srpska as an entity of BiH.
“I will wear the recognition with pride, as a member of the same people from Republika Srpska. Together with Vucic, we built Serbia, but also the Republika Srpska. I see this as a recognition to all my associates, the people of RS, as a recognition for my love for Serbia, the Serbian people RS,” he said.
This order was established on October 26, 2009, and was first introduced and awarded in 2010. It is awarded to presidents of states and governments for the special merits they do for the Serbian state and its people.
