Brnabic emphasized that the relations will be even better next year.
“I do not think that the relations between Serbia and the Republika Srpska have ever been closer,” Brnabic said in a statement for Srna news agency.
She said that since 2014, when Aleksandar Vucic became prime minister, Serbia has invested nearly 22 million euros in Republika Srpska into concrete projects so far.
“It is embedded in concrete projects that, I hope, citizens of Republika Srpska can already recognize. I hope in 2019 we will continue to cooperate even closer,” said Brnabic.
She recalled on talks with the new Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska Radovan Viskovic and hoped that the next joint session of the two governments will be held soon, emphasizing one of the most important project as the construction of two hydropower plants on Drina River of 41 megawatts strength.
“I think this is important, as energy and investment, and also it is as a signal of special links. I hope we will have concrete moves there,” Brnabic said.
She recalled her recent visit to Republika Srpska to support the humanitarian action that Serbia makes every year, and this year the country donated 250,000 euros.
“It’s just a small part that shows our friendship and closeness,” added Brnabic.
