Seven persons were deprived of their freedom as part of the operation “Geko” in the area of Sanski Most, Ljubuški and Čapljina for crimes of international human trafficking, prostitution and money laundering, the Federal Police Administration announced.
Persons with the initials A.Č, A.L.Č, A.D, J.D, D.Ž.K, I.J were deprived of their liberty. and E.T. during the search, firearms, money, expensive cars, motorcycles, expensive watches, certain documents and other items that will be used in the investigation were found and confiscated.
It is suspected that this group organized international illegal prostitution with a large number of girls, who provided sexual services both in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Western Europe, some of whom were minors, according to the announcement.
The suspects transferred the money obtained from criminal activities to Bosnia and Herzegovina through the purchase of expensive cars and real estate, and thus tried to insert it into legal flows.
When documenting the criminal acts of this international criminal group, headed, as it is suspected, by A.Č, the Federal Police Administration achieved international police cooperation with the investigative bodies of Germany, Switzerland and Croatia, with the help of which evidence was collected against these persons.
The implementation of the action was carried out with the support and cooperation of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the cantonal ministries of internal affairs of Una-Sana, West Herzegovina and Herzegovina-Neretva cantons.
