At Sarajevo International Airport (MAS), flights to Vienna, Zagreb and Istanbul were canceled this morning due to strong southerly winds.
“Based on the information we have from the weather service, we expect improvement and stabilization of weather conditions around 1:00 p.m.,” MAS told Fena news agency.
A powerful storm hit Western Europe on Thursday and many flights were cancelled.
An orange warning is also in force in BiH due to strong to stormy, locally and hurricane-like wind gusts, as well as more intense showers accompanied by thunder.
Meteoalarm is in effect today until 3 p.m.
