SFF and Cinema Meeting Point Part of Pan-European Simultaneous Film Screening of “1989”

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) and the Cinema Meeting Point will be part of a pan-European simultaneous gala screening of a documentary film “1989” by Danish director Anders Østergaard, nominated for an Oscar in 2008 for a documentary “Burma VJ” and Hungarian director Erzsébet Rácz.

Film audience in as many as twenty European cities, including Sarajevo, shall on Wednesday, 5 November, have a unique opportunity to follow live opening of the largest documentary film festival in Scandinavia – CPH: DOX – Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, which will open with the world premiere of the new Østergaard’s film and via video link participate in Q&As and a panel discussion after the screening, said the press service of the SFF.
