Deputy Secretary General of NATO Radmila Shekerinska spoke out after the First Individual Partnership Program between Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and NATO (ITPP) was signed in Brussels.
In a video address, Shekerinska stated that the signing of this program is an important step for both BiH and NATO.
“Together, we have marked an important step in the development of our partnership. NATO allies and BiH have approved the first partnership program for the country. I want to thank the Presidency of BiH for their constructive approach,” she said.
She also thanked Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Josip Brkic and Deputy Minister of Defense of BiH Aleksandar Goganovic.
“Thanks to Brkic and Goganovic for their dedication to this work. The program focuses on areas where NATO and BiH recognize that their cooperation can have added value. This includes the modernization of the Armed Forces of BiH (AFBiH) as well as scientific cooperation,” Shekerinska emphasized.
In conclusion, she reiterated that the security and stability of BiH is important for the entire region.
“This program also signifies NATO’s commitment to the security of BiH and regional stability. As I said at the Sarajevo Security Conference, the security of BiH means security for the entire region, Europe, and NATO,” Radmila Shekerinska concluded, Klix.ba writes.
