The Croatian government today set the highest retail fuel prices at a telephone meeting, according to which, from Tuesday, April 22, basic gasoline will be cheaper by nine cents and diesel by eight cents per liter.

The new price of gasoline will be 1.38 euros, and diesel by 1.28 euros per liter.

Blue diesel will be cheaper by seven cents, to 68 cents per liter.

The new price of gas for tanks will be 1.14 euros per kilogram, which is a decrease of 19 cents, and the price of gas for bottles will fall by 20 cents, to 1.67 euros per kilogram.

The government’s regulation on fuel prices comes into force on April 22, and the new regime will be valid for the next 14-day period.

If there were no government measures and if retail prices were completely free, gasoline would cost 1.41 euros, diesel 1.39 euros, and blue diesel 76 cents per liter.

Gas for tanks would cost 1.33 euros, and for bottles 1.96 euros per liter.
