Silver Medal for Irmela Peranovic in Los Angeles

Irmela Peranovic klix.baThe final swimming competitions on the program of Summer Olympics in Los Angeles were held yesterday, where the BH competitor Irmela Peranovic performed in the discipline 50 m freestyle and won the second place and the silver medal.

After Adnan Pribisic, who won the golden medal in 25 m breaststroke, this is the second medal won for B&H at the Summer Olympics. When it comes to swimming, what remained according to the competition program are the performances of Miro Vasic who is to have tommorow the division in 25 m freestyle and 50 m freestyle, while Irmela Peranovic will on July 30th have a division in 25 m freestyle, as well as Zorana Mitrović, who will perform in 50 m breaststroke.

The women football team of the Special Olympics of B&H played today in the second round of the competition a match against the national team of Serbia, whom it defeated with a result of 8:0.

When it comes to the performances of athletes, on the program tomorrow are the battles for the medals of Admir Asceric, who will run 400 and 200 m, as well as Vedrana Novic and Kristina Klacar, who will perform in the 200 m discipline.

Table tennis players Damir Rimac and Irma Juhic are to continue with their preliminary performances.
