More than 120 teams participated in the exercise that was organized by the 160th Brigade of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom.
Exercise “Cambrian Patrol”, with its seventy years old tradition, is one of the most difficult and most demanding military exercises in the world, and it is designed in a way that teams cross about 80 kilometers during solving different scenarios of exercise, with equipment whose weight varies between 30 and 50 kg. A team of eight police officers of the Special Support Unit of SIPA successfully completed the exercise and won a silver medal.
Participation in this prestigious exercise is important for members of the Unit as they checked their physical and mental strength once again and adopted new knowledge and skills in dealing with specific situations in the course of rural operations, as stated from SIPA.
