An Austrian citizen was arrested in the Sarajevo area due to suspicions that he was a member of an organized crime group involved in drug trafficking in Austria.
“Operational activities that preceded the arrest were carried out in the Kalesija municipality in the Tuzla Canton, and members of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of BiH also participated in them,” SIPA announced today.
He was arrested on Friday, August 15, based on an Interpol warrant from Austria, in an action by members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in cooperation and coordination with officers of the Austrian Federal Criminal Police Office.
