The Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Roman Hloben, presented the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of the Central Bosnia Canton (KUCZ KSB) with a donation of 13 sets of Drager PSS 4000 firefighting equipment, worth 54,000 BAM, on Wednesday.
Hloben said that the donation represents a continuation of the concrete cooperation and solidarity of the Slovak Republic towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, and emphasized that this is equipment intended to protect firefighters during interventions in areas filled with smoke and other hazards.
“This is equipment that primarily protects firefighters during firefighting, so that they can move in dangerous areas filled with smoke so that they can save people and protect property. I would also like to thank the Ministry of Security of BiH, I hope that we will continue our concrete and pragmatic cooperation,” said Ambassador Hloben.
The Director of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of the Bosnia and Herzegovina, Miroslav Jakić, thanked the Government of Slovakia and the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their support, emphasizing that the donated equipment will significantly improve the work of the fire services.
During the meeting, the organization of the protection and rescue system in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Canton and Slovakia was also discussed, as well as the possibilities of further cooperation and exchange of experiences.
Firefighters of the Fire Protection and Rescue Service of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Canton held a presentation on the use of the donated equipment and its application in extinguishing fires and rescuing people.
The donation is part of the assistance provided by the Government of Slovakia to the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the end users of the equipment are the City of East Sarajevo and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cantonal Civil Protection Administration, Fena writes.
