Snow whitened the Vršič mountain peak in Slovenia, and heavy rain created problems on the country’s roads, and part of Koper was flooded.
Vršič, the highest mountain pass in Slovenia, is located in the Julian Alps, at an altitude of 1,611 meters.
“The cold front has reached the north of Slovenia, it is already snowing in Vršič,” announced the Slovenian Environmental Protection Agency /ARSO/ on social networks.
Due to heavy rainfall, the road Obrov-Kozina on Kozina is completely closed, traffic is blocked between Koper and Dragonje, and it is not possible to drive on numerous local roads either.
Due to the flooded August road, alternative routes are also being used on the Izola-Škof expressway, Slovenian media reports.
