The social network X, owned by Elon Musk, stated yesterday that it rejects all accusations by the French authorities regarding algorithm manipulation and alleged criminal data extraction, United States (U.S.) media reported.
The statement adds that company X did not comply with the demands made in the French criminal investigation.
“French authorities requested access to X platform‘s recommendation algorithm and real-time data on all user posts on the platform so that several ‘experts’ could analyze the data and supposedly ‘uncover the truth’ about how platform X functions,” stated company X, adding that the requests by French authorities were rejected because the company “has the legal right to do so.”
