After delivering a memorable performance for the Sarajevo audience in August, Solomun reflected on a night that remains special to him.
He shared several clips on social media from the spectacular show he put on for the crowd in front of the Eternal Flame.
“Traveling the world as a music ambassador and sharing what I love with people who share that same passion gives me more than words could ever describe. Yet, coming home and sharing all of that with more than 40,000 of you under the open sky – that is a truly special experience,” he said.
He added that pride, gratitude, joy, and a sense of belonging were all united by a love for music.
“Sharing those moments with you filled my heart with a warmth and love that transcend words. Some moments stay with us forever. I bow before you with all my heart and deep gratitude. Thank you, Sarajevo,” he said.
Solomun – whose real name is Mladen Solomun – was born in Travnik and is one of the region’s pioneers of electronic music. This marked his third performance at the Sarajevo Film Festival closing event, following previous shows at the Eternal Flame in 2019 and 2022.
