At yesterday’s 20th emergency session, the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the harmonized text of three laws that were necessary for our country to meet the conditions for joining the Single Payment Area in Euros (SEPA).
This decision of the federal parliamentarians was praised by the head of the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luigi Soreca.
“Cheap cross-border financial transfers for citizens and the economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina are one step closer to becoming a reality,” he said in the reaction.
He pointed out that the work has already been done by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and that the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina can now submit a request to the European Commission for accession to SEPA.
“This represents a concrete step forward on the path of European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, it is stated at the end of the message sent by Soreca.
